Type of Employment and Panic Attacks

We make no apologies for this being a long page! We thought it would be of interest to let the world see the type of employment categories that respondents give in our WWW questionnaire survey. In the questionnaire, we ask respondents to write in their occupations or if not employed to check a box to indicate this. What follows are some figures on % employment, followed by a table which lists the occupations given by a group of respondents taken at random from the summer of 1997. The list is simply in the order in which the questionnaires came in and without any editing by us.
It has been suggested that panic attack is most likely to be found in single, unemployed females with young families - clearly the data below do not support this!

CHART

The figure shows the responses relating to employment. About one third of respondents checked the 'Not Employed' box and two thirds listed an occupation. There are only small differences between genders here.

We felt that income (with connotations of 'social class' etc.) was not something germane to this survey (it has been suggested that people falsify information on income more than anything else anyway!). We did ask people to state their employment type, however, and some responses are given below.
